60 Minute Session
Meet parts of yourself with the help of a practitioner. Parts work begins with you, not your diagnoses. It can help with inner conflicts, triggering relationships, painful emotions, perfectionism, workaholism, obsessions, boundary issues, feelings of not living up to expectations, and many other troubles that erupt in our minds every day.
30 Minute Consultation
Get to know me before we begin our work. Tell me what brings you to parts work, ask questions about me and my practice, and learn whether or not we might work well together. If you determine that you want to proceed, we will make a plan for how parts work can help you where you are.
Transformative Assistance
IFS, or Internal Family Systems, is a powerful, evidence-based form of psychotherapy. IPW, or Internal Parts Work, extends the IFS model to healing and finding balance generally.
“Josh is gentle and easy to talk with. He has helped me to resolve some long-standing trauma with IFS.”
“I investigate not these things, but myself, to know whether I am a monster more complicated and more furious than Typhon or a gentler and simpler creature.”

Generally, I charge $125 to $175 per session. However, I am committed to serving economically underprivileged clients. If this is you, email me. If this is not you, please consider paying double or offering a donation so that I can expand my work to those in desperate need. In addition to sponsoring my individual IPW practice, you can donate to a non-profit with which I partner.
Your first 30 minute consultation is free.

You can pay with cash, check, card, PayPal, or Venmo. I will bill you by email after our session.

It is entirely variable. Some people find that after a few sessions the causes that brought them to parts work are temporarily altered. Most people take longer, at least six months. There is some evidence that 1 or 2 years provides the most satisfying results; however, IPW helps you to decide what is best for your situation. I ask you to consider what it really takes to bring about meaningful psychological change. As a practitioner, my goal is not to try to manage or alleviate “symptoms” in the short run, but to help you to bring about fundamental, lasting change in your life. In my experience, this requires time and yet is not interminable. Please note as well that for some, like me, IFS-informed parts work has become a kind of spiritual practice. I myself continue to see an IFS practitioner.

It depends. I can advise you after our first session. That said, most people find that meeting once a week is best for them.

Right now I am mostly meeting on a HIPPA compliant online platform. However, we can also meet in person in East Austin outdoors. If you wish to meet elsewhere, please request so through email.
